Who we are
About Us
Wendoo School Breakfast Empowerment Initiative (WSBEI) is an NGO conceived out of a dire need that is facing a very
large swathe of African children across the continent.
In a world of plenty, where enough food is produced to feed everyone on the planet, hunger should be a thing of the past. However, conflict, climate change, disasters, inequality and – most recently – the COVID-19 pandemic mean one in nine people globally is still going to bed hungry and famine looms for millions
Hopefully, WSBEI’s timely intervention at times of
heightened crisis will help pull people back from
the brink of starvation.

Building Better Communities
Our work should help communities to build resilience, adapt to a changing climate, promote good nutrition and improve food systems in helping lay the foundations for a more prosperous future for millions of Africans. Achieving peace and prosperity for people and the planet is at the heart of the-2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015. The agenda sets out 17 action points – the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – to “free the human race from the tyranny of poverty” and “shift the world onto a sustainable and resilient path” by 2030. SDG 2: Zero Hunger: Feeding over 100 million of the world’s hungriest people and helping millions more around the world improve their nutrition and build sustainable livelihoods.
Our Aim
We aim to relieve hunger amongst School Children in rural and urban areas of Nigeria by providing wholesome, healthy and nourishing meals to School children who need it. Rising living costs and ever deepening poverty means a large swathe of children are underfed and malnourished. We intend to tackle this blight by:
- Arranging fund-raising events across the country.
- Setting up a portal for charitable donations using all available digital resources
- Liaising with existing charitable groups and Governmental welfare departments.
- Setting up educational hubs to teach sustainability through things like gardening and growing vegetables and fruits.
- Publicising and creating awareness globally with the aim of gaining international support and donations.
