Wendoo School Breakfast Empowerment Initiative - Pilot Programme
We have selected a primary school in the rural village of Idumuje Ugboko in Delta State, Nigeria, to carry out our pilot programme to help determine what works and the direction we will be taking in delivering the project across the country.
The rural town of Idumuje-Ugboko is situated in Aniocha North of Delta State, Nigeria. With a landmass of over nine square miles, and the geographic coordinates of 6° 21′ 0″ N, 6° 24′ 0″ E, it is bordered on the Eastern side by Idumuje-Unor; Onicha-Ugbo to the South; Igbodo to the West; to the North-East by Ohodua; Ewohimi to the North; and Epkon or Akpu to the North-West.
The ancient kingdom of Idumuje- Ugboko in Delta state, renowned for her great tourism potential such as; the 7 tombs of the 7 kings, the 7 streams, ancient missionary homes and church, artifact museum, mount Lilly, Professor Dimas Nwoko’s wooden apartments and the Royal palace of the OBI all gazetted by delta state tourism ministry and the NTDC as a tourist destination, a true picture of the natural scenery, unique climate, rich culture and great people of this ancient kingdom in a civilized modern day setting
NKEZE PRIMARY SCHOOL Idumuje Ugboko, Delta State, Nigeria

Idumuje Ugboko, Delta State, Nigeria. There are 2 primary schools; Ugboko primary school and Nkeze primary school and 1 secondary school, Ugboko Secondary school. We will concentrate on Nkeze primary school for the pilot as it appears to be the ideal environment to carry out our trial, especially with the challenges they face with a lack of running water, derelict buildings and overgrown bushes around the grounds.

SCHOOL DINING ROOM PROJECT
Donation Goal£9500The projected production cost of converting a disused classroom in Nkeze primary school into a Dining room and manufacture of benches and tables will be £9500 based on quotes received from vendors. We aim to complete this phase by the end of February 2023. Temporary structures will be installed in the meantime to facilitate the quick delivery of the breakfast aspect of this project
SCHOOL BREAKFAST PROJECT
Donation Goal£8900The projected production cost of the breakfast aspect of this project, based on quotes from a few Caterers is £8900.
SCHOOL PLAYING FIELD LEVELLING
Donation Goal£5500Projected cost of levelling the playing field, lawn re-seeding and general beautification will be £5500. We hope to tackle this aspect alongside the Dining room project, with an expected completion date of February 2023.
SCHOOL WATER PROJECT
Donation Goal£37000Projected production cost for a hydration Water Well with pumping mechanism to supply water to the toilets and for general use. There will be other considerations like transportation and other administrative costs. Therefore, we will be looking for donations in the region of £37000 in the first year.
